Sisters Niki and Tanya Pattharakositkul have a new location in the works for their Thai restaurant Pink Lotus. It is slated to open in mid-2026 at a new mixed-use development at 126 North Main Street in Alpharetta, according to a release. This spot will be the second for the Pink Lotus brand, joining the first location that opened earlier this year in West Midtown’s Stockyards.

“I think Alpharetta will be a very good fit,” Niki told What Now Atlanta. “I feel like people love to experience new things and with modern Thai cuisine and an elevated [atmosphere], I feel like people will be excited.”

Originally from Thailand, the Pattharakositkuls focus on different regions of Thailand in their menus for their concepts around Atlanta. Pink Lotus focuses on dishes from the southern, northern, central and Isaan regions of Thailand.

“Once people are open-minded and try something new, they actually come back for more new dishes,” Niki said. “I’m really happy with the feedback.”

The menu at the forthcoming location will highlight lesser-known regional dishes. Pink Lotus features items like the Green Sausage and Green Chili Dip, which consists of northern Thai herb sausage made with minced pork, Thai herbs and spices wrapped in casing and served with a Thai green chili dip, and Smoky Isaan Beef Tartare, which features hand-minced beef tenderloin, chili, roasted rice, lime, fresh herbs and egg yolk. Other signature dishes include Steamed Branzino, Thai Shrimp Paste Fried Rice and the Pink Lotus Chicken — marinated charcoal grilled chicken with tamarind dipping sauce. The menu will also feature classics like traditional Pad Thai and crab fried rice.

The beverage program will feature beer, wine and creative craft cocktails infused with Thai herbs and spices, incorporating Thai ingredients like lychee, curry, pandan and Thai basil. Signature cocktails include Ya Dong Thai Martini with gin, vermouth and Eleven 11 Tigers infusion; the Massaman Sour with makrut lime vodka, massaman curry, coconut, ginger and lime; and the Isan Old Fashioned with rye whiskey, toasted rice and Thai Basil bitters.

Niki said that the Alpharetta location will offer a few new dishes not found at the West Midtown location.

The design of the Alpharetta space will emulate the colors, elements and ambiance of the West Midtown flagship, but it will feel a bit more homey. Situated in a historic house-like building with a spacious patio, the forthcoming Pink Lotus location will feature lanterns and references to Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune, prosperity, beauty and abundance. Expect to see bright colors alongside neutral elements and wood.

Niki opened her first restaurant, 26 Thai, in Buckhead in 2016. Since then, the sisters have expanded to nine 26 Thai locations throughout Atlanta, as well as Asian tapas bar Blackjack Bar Tapas. They also have plans to open Thai street food restaurant, Terminal 26, at Ponce City Market in the spring. They have another restaurant, Khao Thai Isan, on the way to Centennial Yards next year.
