Applications have been filed to turn a previously occupied retail space into a new restaurant and bar at 45 Moreland Ave. SE.

The property lies at the corner of Moreland Avenue and Wylie Street in Reynoldstown and is close to the border of Reynoldstown and Edgewood.

Documents list the project name as “Wylie Foods” and request to perform an interior build-out of Suite 200 in the shopping center. Construction will include new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, interior finishes, lighting, and bar and kitchen equipment installation at a cost of $250,000.

The shopping center at 45 Moreland Ave. SE is occupied by a tattoo shop and Neighborhood Wraps, which offers smoothies, wraps, and salads. There is a Texaco gas station across the street. Details on the restaurant/bar concept are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
