A new ice cream shop is working to open its doors at Park Boulevard and 131st Street North in Seminole. Called the Sugar Shack, it’s set to launch at 13051 Park Blvd., according to submitted plan review documents.
“We’re hoping to open within the next month or two,” Leah, one of the Sugar Shack’s owners, told What Now on Tuesday. “We’ll be serving Hershey ice cream and milkshakes—stuffed milkshakes, with lots of different toppings.”
The Sugar Shack will be situated east of the intersection, where it will join restaurants like Stefano’s Italian Cuisine, Clear Sky on Park, and Joto’s Pizza. It will feature interior seating in a space that follows a surf shack theme. It’s a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

“Well, we have young kids,” Leah said. “While our children are still young, we thought that it would be an exciting way to spark business interests within them as well as provide a fun space for other families to visit and make memories.”
